The maps have been drawn for the Slow Trip North, Lists and bookings made, Kermit the trusty green car, has been prepared, checked, and rechecked. Diagrams for packing though I'm sure some luggage won't fit. The adventure starts calling in to see friends and relatives, then picking up Susie at Newcastle to continue travelling North. I'm hoping the weather will be warmer fairly soon. Who knows what we will find on the way - Lighthouses? Kangaroos? Beautiful coastlines? Kermit

A favourite leisure activity is setting off along a bush track with a bottle of water, snacks, sneakers and a hat. Some of the loveliest vistas open up as the ridge is crested or the path winds around. These sketches have all been done in the southern part of Sydney Australia, mainly in our amazing Royal National Park. Most of my paintings fall into this category because the combination contains many interesting textures and elements. Light falling through the trees, creating shade on rocks or water! The contrast of smooth barked Angophoras with the rough and uneven textures of sandstone! Rippling water flowing past Grey Mangrove trees with their feet still in the water!
